In 2020, Coram International was commissioned by UNICEF to carry out a country programme-informing evaluation of the implementation of the Law on Child Protection (CPL) in Mongolia. The primary objective of the evaluation is to assess the steps taken and progress made towards achieving the overall purpose of the CPL. In doing so, the evaluation is considering key links and synergies between the efforts made to implement the CPL and other child protection laws. The evaluation will highlight lessons learned, identify areas for improvement, record the achievements of key stakeholders and duty bearers, and make recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the implementation of the CPL. UNICEF will use the recommendations to inform the next country programme in Mongolia.
