In 2020, Coram International was commissioned by UNICEF to carry out a country programme-informing evaluation of the implementation of the Law on Child Protection (CPL) in Mongolia. The primary objective of the evaluation was to assess the steps taken and progress made towards achieving the overall purpose of the CPL. In doing so, the evaluation considered key links and synergies between the efforts made to implement the CPL and other child protection laws. The evaluation highlighted lessons learned, identified areas for improvement, recorded the achievements of key stakeholders and duty bearers, and made recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the implementation of the CPL. UNICEF will use the recommendations to inform the next country programme in Mongolia. The final report, which was rated as “highly satisfactory”, is available via this link.
