In 2020, Coram International was commissioned by UNICEF to carry out a country programme-informing evaluation of the implementation of the Law on Child Protection (CPL) in Mongolia. The primary objective of the evaluation was to assess the steps taken and progress made towards achieving the overall purpose of the CPL. In doing so, the evaluation considers key links and synergies between the efforts made to implement the CPL and other child protection laws. The evaluation highlights lessons learned, identifies areas for improvement, records the achievements of key stakeholders and duty bearers, and makes recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the implementation of the CPL. The report has received a rating of “highly satisfactory” from UNICEF’s independent review mechanism GEROS.
